How important are lyrics of a song to your enjoyment of it?
Everyone's views are different.
I like a vast range of music including world music, I don't always understand
the lyric's -
example - lyrics in a foreign language....but you can feel the vibration
from the emotion of the voice and the energy of the music and how it effects
you while listening.
When I listen to music I do not always focus on the lyrics...
I tend to listen to music to "relax" not to "stress" ....
trying to hear what they say and what it all means.
I guess it all depends on what you are listening to.
Some instumental songs can put the feeling across just as well as poetry.
It depends on the genres, some genres don't need any lyrics at all....
in others good lyrics are essential.
